WHAT TO DONATE

Consider whether one of your family or friends would find your donation useful if you passed it on to them. That's a good rule of thumb to use when you make a decision to contribute second-hand items to any organization.

Please note that we, along with most other charities have not "fixed" or repaired donations for many years, and cannot use items that are dirty, broken, stained, missing pieces or damaged. Alternate donation sites

Goodwill gladly accepts donations of clean, gently used clothing and small working household items.

If you have a large quantity of donations or furniture items, please contact the nearest retail GOODWILL STORE to make sure that they have room to accept it. Our free-standing DONATION CENTERS have limited space and are not set up to accept large bulky items, so the employees may refer you to the closest RETAIL STORE if they anticipate that their center will be full by the end of the day. Your donation may qualify for PICK UP if it includes furniture.

WHAT TO DONATE



  • ANTIQUES, COLLECTIBLES

  • CASH DONATIONS OR ITEMS WITH A VALUE OVER $500

  • Clothing, shoes, belts, scarves, ties, bras, pantyhose

  • AUTOMOBILES & OTHER MOTOR VEHICLES (in running condition with current CA registration)- Call 619-756-5862

  • Bedspreads, blankets, curtains, tablecloths

  • Books, records, movies (VHS & DVD), CDs (no bootleg, X-rated, or home made)

  • COMPUTERS, Printers, Towers, Laptops, Monitors, keyboards, mice, portable DVD players and other electronics & computer related equipment: Working or not- we will be pleased to accept it. Please note that there is special paperwork that you must complete at the time of donation for these items due to state regulations.

  • CATHODE RAY TUBES: Any item with a CRT, LCD, Plasma screen – working or not

  • Cookware , dishes, platters, pots, pans

  • Games, and ride-on toys: Please do not donate recalled items- see CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION

  • Housewares and decorative items

  • Jewelry - real and costume

  • Framed pictures

  • Upholstered furniture, lamps

  • Wood desks, office supplies

  • Radios and stereos

  • Seasonal items

  • Small appliances

  • Sporting goods

  • TELEVISIONS: working or not: Please note that there is special paperwork to be completed on these items at the time of donation which is required by state law.
