Goodwill of San Diego County partners with the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) to provide the DOR Direct Placement program to the San Diego community. This program falls under the Customized Services area of Goodwill, and provides intensive one-on-one job placement services for program participants.
To be eligible for this program, an individual must be actively receiving services from the Department of Rehabilitation. Participants must also be able to meet the essential functions of the program/job with or without reasonable accommodations, work in the United States legally (proof of citizenship or immigration status required), and free of a conviction related to violence.
Each individual participant is provided the following services:
- Job aptitude and skills assessment.
- Individualized case management services.
- Resume building and application submittal assistance.
- Interviewing skills and technique training.
- Job placement assistance.
