Goodwill’s Community Employment Centers are open and Career Advisors are available to help job seekers!
We are currently providing job seeker services both in-person and online. Our services are free, open to anyone who is ready to start the job search process and are available in English and in Spanish.
If you are not quite ready to return to work, our Job Readiness Program is a great opportunity for you. The Job Readiness Program is an online workshop series, which includes Ace the Interview, Resume Builder, Find A Job, Workplace Communication, and Conflict Management. The program also includes four one-on-one sessions with a Career Advisor, either online or in-person at one of our Community Employment Centers. Once you decide the time is right to find a job, you’ll already have the tools you need to be successful. Job seekers who complete the Job Readiness Program will receive a certificate of completion and $20 Goodwill Gift Certificate.
If you are thinking about returning to work, now is a great time to find a job! There are many employers throughout San Diego County looking for employees, and lots are offering great incentives to new workers such as sign-on bonuses and increased pay. It is also an excellent time to get your foot in the door in a new industry. Many employers are understaffed right now and may be willing to hire and train entry-level employees for jobs that used to require experience. Goodwill’s Career Advisors work with local employers and job seekers to find a great employment match.
If you’d like to enroll in any Goodwill program, the best way to start is by visiting our website sdgoodwill.org to make an in-person or virtual appointment with a Career Advisor or a workshop. You can also call the center closest to you or stop by any of our centers during business hours. We can help connect you with Goodwill’s other employment programs and services, such as our Supported Employment program, our Veterans’ Program, Ticket to Work, or our Young Adult Program.
