We know it’s not easy to jump into a new path, but you can rest assured we have the resources to help you transition and become successful in achieving your new goals. It all starts with visiting one of our Community Employment Centers!
What are Goodwill Community Employment Centers?
Goodwill Community Employment Centers are career hubs located throughout San Diego County. We have five centers that are operated by Career Advisors who will help you navigate through this new journey you’re about to embark on. They’re available Monday -Friday for one-on-one in-person appointments but can also accommodate an online meeting. Our centers provide computers and internet access to San Diego County residents, and we also provide Lyft vouchers if you don’t have reliable transportation to get to one of our centers, a job fair, or an interview.
Our Career Advisors will work with you to create a winning resume, help you communicate effectively, and will practice interviewing skills with you. You’ll go into your next interview with all the confidence you need to obtain a new job. Our centers have a free 2-week job readiness program that includes all six of our Free soft skill workshops including Ace the Interview, Workplace Communication, Find a Job, Résumé Workshop, and Conflict Resolution. workshop courses and a certificate to show off your new accomplishments. What about the Goodwill Paid-Training Program?
Our paid-training programs are designed to train and prepare you for the workforce! No work experience, no problem! We will give you all the hands-on training you need to be successful in any of our five programs. Some of our programs are even available to those 16 and over.
