St. Patrick’s Day

10 March 2016

Wear green proudly, the St. Patrick’s Day tradition began more than a thousand years ago as a religious festival in Ireland. The event is named in honor of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland who was known for bringing Christianity to the country. Today, wearing green represents spring, shamrocks and Ireland.

Even when green is not your favorite color, the month of March is the time to wear it and have some fun – decide to be subtle or wild – it is up to you. There are so many shades to choose from and with floral on trend this season, wearing green is easier than ever. If you choose to be subtle, think about accessorizing with green: wear green shoes, a necklace, scarf, bracelet or handbag.

Or, be bold with a crisp white button down shirt, jeans or slacks and a lightweight green cardigan or vest. If green is simply not your color, visit Goodwill for something you will only wear once and then donate it for someone else to enjoy!

May your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow.
And, may trouble avoid you wherever you go.
