SAN DIEGO – “We are grateful to have been named a Top Workplace by our ambassadors. It is extremely important to me that our ambassadors enjoy their work environment and embrace our culture and core values of Credibility, Creativity, and Collaboration,” said Toni Giffin, President and CEO.

As a learning organization, Goodwill San Diego invests in its ambassadors by providing free job training and workforce development programs. The Career Pathway Program gives ambassadors the steps to prepare for and advance from entry-level to management positions. The program is an integral part of our business operation and commitment to mission integration. Existing managers are responsible for leading and developing the skills of those around them.

Goodwill San Diego also provides a Paid Training Program, a 3-month comprehensive retail training program for those with significant barriers to employment. Prior work experience is not necessary to enter this program.

Our Transportation Department provides career advancement by conducting internal Truck Driver and Commercial Driver training programs.  We want job seekers to see Goodwill San Diego as an employer that strives to offer opportunities for growth within and outside of the organization. This effort is critical to developing an engaged workforce with a desire to reach personal and professional goals, self-sufficiency, and work fulfillment. We are hiring and encourage job seekers to consider Goodwill San Diego as their employer of choice.
